Beatrix Potter’s The House of the Tailor Museum

Beatrix Potter’s The House of the Tailor Museum

The House of the Tailor of Gloucester stands within the shadow of the Cathedral in College Court. This was the area that inspired Potter to write what she described as her favourite book. The museum and shop are staffed by volunteers, both enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Beatrix Potter and her works.
