Arizona State University Mission Statement

Hey There, Let's Chat About Arizona State University's Mission Statement!

So, you've probably heard of Arizona State University, right? It's that place in the heart of the Valley of the Sun that's always bustling with energy, like a giant, friendly beehive. What's a Mission Statement, You Ask?

Alright, imagine you're planning a road trip. You've got your destination in mind, but you need a map to guide you, right? A mission statement is like that map for a university. It's a set of guiding principles that steer the ship, helping it stay on course towards its goals.

Now, you might be thinking, "That sounds boring, like reading the fine print on a warranty card." But hold on, let's make this fun! Think of it as the GPS in your car. You can set it to a robotic voice, or choose one that sounds like your favorite movie character. ASU's mission statement is like that cool voice, guiding you through the university's journey, making it more engaging and less like a snooze-fest.

So, What's ASU's Mission Statement Saying?

ASU's mission statement is like a warm hug on a chilly morning. It's all about creating a better future for everyone. Here's a little breakdown:

"Arizona State University strives to be measured not by whom it excludes, but rather by whom it includes and how they succeed; not by what students, faculty, and staff achieve for themselves, but for what they can do for the community and the world."

In simpler terms, it's like saying, "Hey, let's not just focus on the popular kids or the brainiacs. Let's make sure everyone feels welcome and has a chance to shine. And while we're at it, let's not just learn for ourselves, but use that knowledge to make the world a better place."

Why Should You Care?

You might be thinking, "That's all well and good, but what's in it for me?" Well, let me tell you, this mission statement is like your personal cheerleader, rooting for you every step of the way.
