Does Deleting A Game On Ps5 Delete Progress

Alright, gather 'round, dear gamers, for I've got a tale to tell that's stranger than a Final Fantasy plot twist. You know how sometimes you're in the middle of a digital rampage on your trusty PS5, and suddenly, you're hit with the urge to Marie Kondo your game library? "Does deleting a game on PS5 delete progress?" you ask, as you eye that 100GB behemoth that's been gathering dust.

Let's dive in, shall we?

First things first, let's talk about the elephant in the room. Or rather, the save file in the cloud. You see, when you delete a game on your PS5, it's like breaking up with your high school sweetheart. It's a clean slate, a fresh start. But unlike that ex, your progress isn't going to stalk you on social media. It's safe and sound in the cloud, ready to welcome you back with open arms if you ever decide to reinstall the game.

Now, you might be thinking, "But what about my trophies? I can't just let them go!" Well, fear not, my trophy-hunting friend. Sony has thought of everything. When you delete a game, your trophies stay right where they are, safe and sound in your trophy list. They might be a little sad, sitting there all alone, but at least they're not lost forever.

But what about... the unknowns?

Alright, so we've established that deleting a game on your PS5 doesn't delete your progress or trophies. But what about those little-known, mysterious things that lurk in the shadows of our gaming world? You know, like glitches, bugs, and those hidden secrets that only the most dedicated gamers uncover.

Well, here's where things get a little... weird. You see, some games are like gremlins. Feed them after midnight, and they multiply. Delete them, and they might just come back with a vengeance. Okay, maybe not literally, but some games have been known to cause a bit of a ruckus when you delete and reinstall them.

Take Red Dead Redemption 2, for example. Some players have reported that deleting and reinstalling the game can cause their save files to go missing. Now, I'm not saying this is because the game is sentient and has a grudge against you for deleting it, but... well, maybe it is. I mean, have you seen the amount of detail Rockstar puts into their games? They could be plotting world domination as we speak.
