First things first, what's Demonstrated Interest, you ask? It's like when you're at a party, and you're really into the conversation with someone. You're not just standing there, you're actively engaged, asking questions, and showing you're interested. That's Demonstrated Interest in a nutshell!

Now, why should you care about this when it comes to Rutgers Track? Well, let me tell you, it's like the secret handshake that can boost your chances of getting into your dream college. You see, Rutgers, like many other colleges, loves to see that you're genuinely interested in them. It's not just about checking off a list, it's about showing some love!

So, how do you demonstrate interest, you might wonder?

Well, it's not rocket science. It's all about showing that you're not just another application in the pile. Here are a few tricks of the trade:

• Visit the campus - There's nothing like walking the halls to get a feel for the place. Plus, it shows you're serious about considering Rutgers.
• Attend an event - Whether it's a virtual info session or an in-person tour, showing up sends a clear signal that you're interested.
• Reach out - A simple email to a coach or professor can go a long way. Just be genuine and respectful of their time.

But remember, it's not just about quantity, it's about quality. It's better to do a few things that truly show your interest than to check off a long list just for the sake of it.

Now, you might be thinking, "What's in it for me?"

Great question! Here's the thing, colleges want students who are excited to be there. They want to see that you're not just applying because it's on a list, but because you genuinely want to be a part of their community. And when they see that, it can tip the scales in your favor.
