Unleash the Wasteland's Magic: Fallout New Vegas Console Commands

Alright, fellow Vault dwellers, gather 'round. You know what's better than wandering the Mojave Wasteland, blasting Super Mutants, and haggling with vendors? Making the game your playground with Fallout New Vegas' special console commands. Let's dive in!

First Things First: Accessing the Console

Before we start, you need to enable the console. Pop into the game's settings, find the 'Enable Developer Console' option, and tick that bad boy. Now, press the tilde key (~) to bring up the console. It's that simple!

Cheats for the Wasteland Wanderer

Let's start with the classics. Tired of scrounging for caps? Type tgm for god mode (no more dying, hooray!) and tfc for free camera mode (perfect for snapping those post-apocalyptic selfies).

Need some ammo for that shiny new weapon? Use player.additem <item_id> <amount>. Replace '<item_id>' with the item's ID (you can find lists online) and '<amount>' with how many you want. Voila! Instant ammo.

Modifying Your Mojave Masterpiece

Want to play god with the wasteland itself? Use settimescale <number> to speed up or slow down time. Fancy a sunset stroll? Try setweather <weather_id> for instant weather changes.

How to change SPECIAL stats with console commands in Fallout New Vegas

Feeling generous? Use player.setlevel <level> to boost your character's level, or player.setav <stat> <value> to max out specific skills. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility (and maybe some cheesy dialogue).

Unlocking the Unlockables

Stuck on a quest? Use completealltasks to wrap up every objective in your journal. Can't find that elusive item? Use player.additem <item_id> 1 to add it to your inventory. Just don't tell Old Lady Gibson you're cheating.
