How Long Has Shohei Been With The Dodgers

Alright, baseball fans and casual observers, let's dive into a question that's been on many a mind: just how long has Shohei Ohtani been wowing us with the LA Dodgers? Grab a snack, get comfy, and let's take a little trip down memory lane.

From Japan to LA: A Brief Journey

Let's rewind to 2017. Our man Shohei was making waves in Japan, playing for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. He was a double threat, a pitcher with a blazing fastball and a hitter with a swing that could make grown men weep. The world was watching, and the MLB was ready to welcome him with open arms.

In December 2017, Shohei made the leap across the Pacific. The world held its breath as he chose his new team. And then, like a gift on Christmas morning, he announced he'd be joining the Dodgers. Cue the confetti!

Shohei's First Season: A Whirlwind

Shohei's rookie season in 2018 was a rollercoaster. He started strong, then hit a slump, then came roaring back. He pitched like an ace, hit like a slugger, and stole our hearts. It was a wild ride, and we were all buckled in for the fun.

Remember that World Series? Yeah, that one. The one where the Dodgers faced off against the Boston Red Sox. Shohei might not have been the star of the show, but he sure made his mark. He pitched, he hit, he did it all. And even though the Dodgers didn't take home the trophy that year, Shohei's future was shining bright.

Shohei's Rise to Stardom

Fast forward to 2021. Shohei was in his prime, and he was ready to show the world what he was made of. He pitched a no-hitter, became the first player since Babe Ruth to hit 450 home runs and win 15 games in a season, and was named the American League MVP. Phew! That's a mouthful, and a whole lot of amazing.

And now, here we are, in the present. Shohei's been with the Dodgers for what feels like a blink of an eye, but it's been five incredible years. Five years of jaw-dropping plays, record-breaking moments, and a whole lot of fun.
