So, you're in Newark Penn Station, huh? Maybe you're wondering, "How do I get to EWR from here?" Well, buckle up, 'cause we're gonna take this journey together, step by step. Think of it like a road trip, but with trains instead of cars. Let's dive in!

First Things First: Where's EWR?

Before we start, let's get our bearings. EWR stands for Newark Liberty International Airport, which is, you guessed it, in Newark, New Jersey. It's about 3 miles southeast of Newark Penn Station. Now that we know where we're headed, let's get moving!

Option 1: The Express Train

Alright, so the fastest way to EWR is by taking the AirTrain Express. It's like the express lane on the highway, but for trains. Here's how you catch it:

1. Head to Track 5 in Newark Penn Station.
2. Hop on the next NJ Transit Northeast Corridor train to Newark Airport. Don't worry, they run every 10-15 minutes.
3. Once you're at the airport, follow the signs for the AirTrain. It's free and runs every 3 minutes. This will take you to all the terminals at EWR.

Easy peasy, right? Now, let's talk time. The whole journey takes about 30-35 minutes, depending on how long you have to wait for a train. Not bad for a trip to the airport!

Now, if you're not in a hurry and want to take in the sights, you might prefer the local train. It's like the scenic route, but with more stops. Here's how it works:

1. Head to Track 6 in Newark Penn Station.
2. Catch the next NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line train to Newark Airport. These run about every 30 minutes.
3. Follow the same AirTrain steps as before to get to your terminal.

So, how long does this take? Well, it's about an hour, depending on how many stops the train makes. But hey, at least you'll get to see some of the local sights!
