Gene Tierney: The Original Glamour

Let's rewind to the golden age of Hollywood. Picture this: a stunning, talented actress named Gene Tierney is stealing hearts and winning awards. She's a true Hollywood icon, known for her roles in films like Laura, Leave Her to Heaven, and Night and the City. She's also known for something else - being Maura's great-aunt!

Now, you might be wondering, "How did I not know this?!" Well, Maura's not one to shout about her famous relative from the rooftops. She's always been more about her craft than her lineage. But that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun with it!

From Hollywood to Boston

So, how did we go from Hollywood glamour to Boston's own? It's all thanks to Gene's sister, Agnes. Agnes married a fella named Edward Tierney, and they had a daughter named Eileen. Eileen grew up, had some kids of her own, and one of them was Maura's mom, Loretta.

See, isn't that fascinating? It's like a real-life Hollywood movie, but with a touch of New England charm!
