Liberty University Degree Completion Plan

Graduation, Interrupted: The Liberty University Degree Completion Plan

So, you've found yourself in a bit of a pickle, have you? You've got a few credits under your belt, but life happened. Maybe you had to take a break to chase after the little ones, or perhaps you got sidetracked by a career change. Whatever the reason, you're left with a half-finished degree, and it's starting to feel like that half-eaten sandwich in your fridge - you know you should finish it, but it's just not as appealing as it once was.

But don't you worry, my friend. Liberty University has a plan for you, and it's not as scary as that sandwich that's been in your fridge for who knows how long. It's called the Degree Completion Plan, and it's like having a personal trainer for your education. You know, like that one friend who drags you to the gym when you'd rather be binge-watching Netflix.

Picking Up Where You Left Off

First things first, Liberty wants to know where you're at. They're not going to make you retrace your steps and redo all that hard work you've already put in. It's like when you're playing a video game, and you've already beaten the first few levels. You don't want to start from the beginning, do you? No, you want to pick up where you left off and keep moving forward.

So, Liberty will do a transfer credit evaluation. It's like they're looking at your game save file to see how far you've gotten. They'll take a look at the credits you've earned elsewhere and see how they can apply them to your degree at Liberty. It's like finding out that all those hours you spent playing Pokémon as a kid actually count towards something - well, maybe not exactly like that, but you get the idea.

Flexibility: The Key to Success

Now, you might be thinking, "That's all well and good, but I've got a life now. I can't just drop everything and go back to school full-time." And you're right. Life is busy, and it's not always easy to find the time to sit down and do some schoolwork. But Liberty gets that. They understand that you've got responsibilities, and they want to help you balance them all.

That's where the flexibility of the Degree Completion Plan comes in. It's like having a really understanding boss who lets you work from home when you need to. Liberty offers online classes that you can take from anywhere at any time. Well, almost any time. You know, within reason. They're not going to let you cram for a final during your wedding ceremony or anything.

And if you're thinking, "Great, now I have to sit in front of a computer all day, every day," don't worry. Liberty also offers hybrid classes, which is like having a boss who lets you come into the office a few days a week, but you can still work from home most of the time. These classes have a combination of online and on-campus meetings, so you get the best of both worlds.

Support: You're Not Alone

Now, you might be feeling a little nervous about jumping back into school. It's like starting a new job, and you're not sure if you're going to be any good at it. But Liberty wants to make sure you succeed. They're not going to leave you to fend for yourself like a baby bird that's been pushed out of the nest too early.

They offer academic advising to help you plan your courses and make sure you're on the right track. It's like having a career counselor who's also a life coach. They'll help you figure out what you need to do to graduate and what you can do with your degree once you do.

And if you're struggling with a particular subject, Liberty has tutoring services to help you out. It's like having a personal trainer for your brain. They'll work with you one-on-one to make sure you understand the material and can pass your classes with flying colors.

Financial Aid: Making It Work

Okay, so you're convinced. You're ready to dive back into school and finish what you started. But then you look at your bank account and realize that you might need a small loan of a million dollars (or at least a few thousand) to make it happen. Don't worry, Liberty has thought of that too.

They offer financial aid to help you pay for your education. It's like having a fairy godmother who waves her wand and makes your tuition disappear. Okay, maybe not exactly like that, but you get the idea. Liberty can help you find grants, scholarships, and loans to make your education more affordable.

And if you're a veteran or active duty military member, Liberty has special programs just for you. It's like having a VIP pass to a concert. You get to skip the line and get some special perks. Liberty wants to make sure that you can get the education you deserve, and they're willing to go the extra mile to help you do it.

Liberty wants to make sure that you have a chance to celebrate your achievement. That's why they have commencement ceremonies several times a year.
