Stranger Things How Old Are They In Season 1

So, you've been binge-watching Stranger Things, huh? Great choice! But have you ever found yourself wondering, "Hey, how old are these kids supposed to be?" Well, grab a coffee, let's chat about it.

Meet the Gang

Alright, so we've got our main crew: Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Eleven, and Nancy. Oh, and let's not forget Will, the poor guy who gets snatched by the Demogorgon. Now, let's dive into their ages in Season 1.

Mike, Dustin, and Lucas: The Original Three Musketeers

These three are the core of the group, and they're all around 12 years old in Season 1. That's right, they're just kids, navigating the Upside Down and dealing with monsters while we're over here stress-eating pizza. Ridiculous, I know!

Now, you might be thinking, "But they look so young!" Well, that's because they are young. And they're played by actual kids, not adults trying to pass as teenagers. Mind-blowing, I know. It's like looking at a real-life version of your old school photos.

Eleven: The Mystery Girl

Eleven, or El as we come to know her, is a bit of a wildcard. She's got powers, she's got a shaved head, and she's got a mysterious past. But how old is she? Well, that's a bit tricky.

In the show, Eleven is supposed to be around 12, but actress Millie Bobby Brown was actually 12 when she was cast, and she turned 13 during filming. So, she's kind of aging in real-time with the character. Isn't that wild?

How Old Is the Cast of Stranger Things — Stranger Things Cast Ages

Nancy: The Older Sister We All Wanted

Nancy is the oldest of the main group, and she's around 16 or 17 in Season 1. She's the one who's supposed to be all grown up, but she's still getting into trouble with the rest of the gang. Typical teenager stuff, right?

Now, you might be wondering, "Why does she look so young?" Well, that's because she's played by Natalia Dyer, who was actually 19 when she was cast. But hey, she pulls off the high school look like a pro, right?

Will: The Poor Kid Who Just Wants to Go Home

Poor Will. He's the youngest of the main group, and he's around 11 or 12 in Season 1. He's just trying to live his best life, playing D&D with his friends, when suddenly, he gets snatched by a monster. Talk about a buzzkill.

How Old Is ‘Stranger Things’ Cast: Actors’ Age in Season 1 and Season 5

Now, you might be thinking, "But he looks so much younger than the others!" That's because he's played by Noah Schnapp, who was actually 11 when he was cast. Talk about typecasting, huh?

So, Why Does It Matter?

You might be wondering, "Why does it even matter how old they are?" Well, it's all about suspension of disbelief, my friend. When we see these actors playing kids, we can buy into the story a little more. It's like when you see a dog playing a cat in a movie. You're like, "Okay, sure, that makes sense."

Plus, it's just fun to know these little tidbits, right? It's like having insider knowledge on your favorite show. You can be that person at the water cooler, dropping facts left and right. "Did you know that Millie Bobby Brown was the same age as Eleven when she was cast?" Boom. Mind blown.

So, there you have it. The ages of our favorite Stranger Things kids in Season 1. Isn't it crazy how young they all are? It makes you feel old, doesn't it? Like you should be mentoring them, not binge-watching their adventures. But hey, that's showbiz, folks.
