What Percent Of The World Is White People

Hey there, curious mind! You've stumbled upon the ultimate question: "What percent of the world is white people?" Let's dive in, shall we?

Let's Get Our Facts Straight

First things first, we're talking about race here, which is mostly a social construct, not a biological one. But for the sake of this chat, we're using the term "white" to refer to people whose ancestry is primarily from Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.

Now, let's grab our trusty globe and spin it around. According to the latest data from the World Population Review, about 30.4% of the world's population is white. That's roughly 2.4 billion people, spread out across every continent (yes, even Antarctica - hi, scientists!).

Europe: The White Continent

You might think that most white people live in Europe, and you'd be right! Europe is home to about 75% of the world's white population. That's around 1.8 billion people, living in countries like Russia, Germany, and France.

But here's a fun fact: if you were to take all the white people in the world and put them in one place, they wouldn't even fill up Europe. That's because Europe's total population is around 748 million, and it's growing, while the global white population is shrinking as a percentage of the total.

White People Around the World

Now, let's jet off to other parts of the globe. In North America, about 60% of the population is white. That's around 190 million people, living in countries like the United States and Canada.

In South America, the white population is smaller, at about 17% of the total. That's around 38 million people, living in countries like Argentina and Brazil. And in Africa, the white population is tiny, at just 0.8% of the total. That's around 6 million people, living in countries like South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Why the World's Changing

So, why is the world's white population shrinking as a percentage? Well, it's all about demographics, baby! White populations in many countries are aging and having fewer children, while other populations are growing and having more kids.

Plus, people are on the move! Migration is a big deal, with people moving from one part of the world to another. And let's not forget that race is a social construct, so people's identities can change over time too.

Let's Celebrate Our Diversity

So there you have it, folks! The world is a big, beautiful place, filled with people of all colors, shapes, and sizes. And that's what makes it so amazing. We're all different, and that's something to celebrate, not fear.
