What's The Score Of The Nebraska Cornhuskers

So, you're wondering about the score of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, huh? Well, grab a seat, let me spin you a yarn about these maize-n-lincoln lads.

Where It All Started

Back in 1890, a bunch of folks in Lincoln, Nebraska, decided they needed a little more excitement in their lives. So, they gathered up some local lads, gave 'em some footballs, and said, "Let's see what you've got!" And thus, the Nebraska Cornhuskers were born.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Football in Nebraska? Isn't that where they grow corn?" Well, yes, yes it is. But these folks are so passionate about their football, they even named their team after the state's favorite crop. Talk about dedication!

From Humble Beginnings to Big-Time Football

The Cornhuskers started off small, playing their first game against the University of Nebraska Medical School. Spoiler alert: They won, 10-0. And just like that, a legend was born.

But it wasn't all smooth sailing. In the early days, they had some... interesting strategies. Like the time they played a game with just nine players. Yep, you read that right. Nine! They lost, but hey, you can't blame 'em for trying, right?

Fast forward a few decades, and the Cornhuskers were a force to be reckoned with. They joined the Big Ten Conference in 2011, and let me tell you, they brought the thunder. They've got more conference championships than I've got hairs on my head (and that's saying something!).

And the fans? Oh, they're a passionate bunch. They've sold out every home game since 1962. That's over 60 years of standing room only! Talk about dedication. They even have a tradition where they storm the field after a big win. I've seen it, and let me tell you, it's a sight to behold. It's like a sea of red, a maize-n-lincoln tsunami!
