When Did Each Season Of Stranger Things Come Out

Stranger Things: A Trip Down Memory Lane

Alright, fellow '80s nostalgia enthusiasts and binge-watch aficionados, let's take a stroll down memory lane and chat about when each season of Stranger Things graced our screens. It's like remembering when your favorite band released their albums, but with way more demogorgons and way less hairspray.

Season 1: The Summer of '83

Picture this: It's the summer of 2016, you're scrolling through Netflix, and suddenly, you stumble upon a show that looks like it was ripped straight from your childhood. That, my friends, was the birth of Stranger Things. It dropped on July 15, 2016, and just like that, the Upside Down became our new favorite hangout spot. It was like finding a secret clubhouse in the woods, complete with Christmas lights, Eggo waffles, and a whole lot of mystery.

Season 2: The Halloween of '84

So, you've spent the entire summer binge-watching Season 1, and now you're craving more. You're not alone. On October 27, 2017, Netflix served up a steaming hot plate of Season 2, just in time for Halloween. It was like trick-or-treating and finding the ultimate candy stash - Eleven, Dustin's newfound love for D&D, and more '80s references than you could shake a stick at. Plus, who could forget the epic battle at Hawkins Middle School? It was like the prom scene from Carrie, but with way more gore and way less pig's blood.

Season 3: The Summer of '85

By now, you're a full-blown Stranger Things junkie. You've got the posters on your wall, the t-shirts in your drawer, and you've even started referring to your friends as "pals." So, when Netflix announced that Season 3 was dropping on July 4, 2019, you knew it was going to be a patriotic party in the Upside Down. And boy, did it deliver. From the Starcourt Mall's grand opening to the Mind Flayer's epic showdown, it was like the best summer blockbuster ever - with a side of Russian spies and a whole lot of hairspray.

Season 4: The Two-Part Finale

And then, just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, Netflix dropped a bombshell: Stranger Things would be back for a fourth and final season - but it would be split into two parts. The first volume hit our screens on May 27, 2022, and it was like a rollercoaster ride through the Upside Down. We got to see our favorite characters grow up, face new challenges, and even make some new friends (and enemies). And just when you thought you could catch your breath, Netflix dropped the second volume on July 1, 2022, bringing the epic saga to a close. It was like saying goodbye to your best friends at the end of summer camp - but with way more tears and way less "Kumbaya."

And there you have it, folks! A quick trip down memory lane, reminiscing about when each season of Stranger Things came out. It's been one heck of a ride, hasn't it? So, grab your Eggo waffles, turn up the volume on your Walkman, and let's raise a glass to the show that brought us all together. After all, in the words of our favorite Hawkins native, "Friends don't lie."
