But why College Station, you ask?

Back in the day, way back in 1876, the Texas Legislature decided to establish the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas. They chose a spot between the towns of Bryan and College Station, and the rest, as they say, is history. The university grew, and so did the town around it. Today, they're practically inseparable.
